![]() Lou Lou originally came in for BriteSmile one-appointment whitening. A few months later she came back for a comprehensive examination and to discuss treatment options.
Lou’s esthetic concerns were crooked lower teeth and upper centrals that were angled as well. She wanted a more attractive tooth shape and overall prettier smile. Orthodontics was discussed as a treatment option, but Lou chose to go with porcelain veneers to straighten and lengthen her teeth to enhance her smile. In the initial examination we noted some bite related problems that needed correction. In order to set up a solid occusal foundation for he new cosmetic work we balanced her bite with an equilibration. This made sure that her bite and its function would be in harmony with her TMJ and related muscles. We started the cosmetic case by preparing her lower six front teeth with porcelain veneers to create a smooth platform to oppose her new upper teeth. Then came the upper ten teeth; veneers as well. In Lou’s case we were also able to improve the functional movements of her bite in the process. The end result was even better than what we had imagined. Lou loved what we did for her so much that she provided the means to enable her sister to have a cosmetic makeover as well. Back to Patient Gallery |
