Patients who have successfully gone through TMJ splint therapy; equilibrating enables these patients to not have to be dependant on their splint for long term comfort.
Patients who have a significant bite discrepancy and are getting ready to have extensive crown and bridge work done; this sets up the occlusal foundation for a long-term healthy functioning occlusion.
