Dr. Bob Burnett blends caring compassion with a gentle technique to make every patient’s visit as pleasant as possible. Utilizing the latest state-of-the-art technology in a wide array of new applications, Dr. Burnett is able to offer you all the standard dental procedures plus exciting new approaches to cosmetic dentistry that make it possible to have the kind of smile you’ve always dreamed of. As a graduate of Abilene Christian University and the University of Texas Dental Branch- Houston, Dr. Burnett has been practicing dentistry in Tyler since 1983. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and has memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and Smith County Dental Society (past president 1996). Additionally, he has completed over 200 hours of continuing education at one of the world’s premier dental post-graduate training facilities, The Pankey Institute. His commitment to continuing education at this prestigious facility has put him in the forefront of area dentists in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. On a personal level, Dr. Burnett places the highest value on the importance of the family and a deep commitment to church involvement and Christian values. He and his wife, Katie, have two children, Travis and Callie. They are members of Glenwood Church of Christ, where Katie is on staff with the Women’s and Children’s Ministries. Dr. & Mrs. Burnett enjoy spending much of their free time in family-centered activities, often involving the children’s sports and music events. Dr. Burnett also enjoys playing the classical guitar, riding his mountain bike, snow-skiing, hiking, and physical fitness training. Combining the latest innovations in technology and treatment, coupled with the dedication to deliver the finest service possible, Dr. Burnett gives his patients the time, attention and conscientious care that earns patient loyalty. Donna has been in dentistry for 13 years and has another 22 experience in office management and customer service.  She has lived in the Tyler area for 30 years and attends Grace Fellowship Church.  Donna and her husband, Lloyd, love to travel and enjoy scuba diving.  Their most recent travels took them to Indonesia.  They have a blended family of 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren ranging from 9 months to 14 years old.  Donna’s role in our practice is Patient Care Coordinator.  Her genuine concern for our patients’ needs allows her to customize treatment plans that put a smile on their faces!  She maintains Dr. Burnett’s daily schedule, conducts new patient interviews, and assists patients with financial options.

Krista has been in the dental field for 15 years as a registered dental assistant.  She is very patient and gentle with our patients.  She has said many times that she is proud to be part of a team that puts their patients first and has a wonderful reputation for doing so.  Tyler has been Krista’s home for the last 35 years and she is a member of Shiloh Road Church of Christ.  She has been married to her husband, Kenny, for 16 years, who works for BP Oil Company.  They are raising 2 amazing boys, who love to ride dune buggies and four-wheelers and are active in Tae-Kwondo.

Leann is a registered dental assistant that has been in the dental field for 23 years and has spent 12 of those years with Dr. Burnett.  She has also been a registered massage therapist for 13 years.  Leann has lived in Tyler for 16 years and attends Shiloh Road Church of Christ.  She and her husband, Tony, have a blended family of six children.  In their free time they enjoy traveling and going on mission trips.  Leann enjoys working on cosmetic cases with Dr. Burnett, and loves the effect that dentistry has on a patient’s self-esteem.

Melisa has been a hygienist for 23 years, so it’s no surprise that virtually nothing escapes her notice when it comes to cleaning teeth or helping patients learn good oral health habits.  Melisa graduated from Tyler Junior College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1984.  She has been with Dr. Burnett for 22 years.  When she’s not working with her patients she is very busy with her children.  Melisa also enjoys bike riding, exercising, and spending time with friends.  She has lived in Tyler for 21 years and attends Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

 

Megan has been in the dental field for 8 years.  As the dental hygiene and insurance coordinator, she maintains Melisa’s schedule, assists her and Dr. Burnett when necessary and handles all aspects of patient insurance.  Megan is diligent in her pursuit to expand her knowledge of dentistry.  She has completed several courses of continuing education in hygiene and insurance management.  Her most recent accomplishment is achieving her dental assistant registration. Megan, her husband Alan, and their 2 children have lived in the Tyler area for the past year.  Their daughter, Destinee who is 10 years old, is very active in softball, and they stay busy keeping up with their 3 year old son, Avery.
